Not Benzema – Arsenal To Table Bid For Prolific 6ft 0″ Striker, He Guarantees Goals

Arsenal’s failure to bring in a striker in the summer has brought about some shrewd flaks from fans and pundits alike, although that has died down a bit as a result of the fantastic run the Gunners are in right now.

But boss Arsene Wenger is already making plans for the January transfer.

As per a report from the Sun, Arsenal are interested in signing Dynamo Moscow striker Aleksandr Kokorin when the transfer window reopens in the New Year.

The British source claim the Gunners’ manager wants to make a £7m offer for Kokorin, whom Arsenal tried to sign in the summer but failed.

Kokorin is one of the most lethal finishers in the Russian top division, and the Gunners should be able to comfortably fork out the £7m fee for the 24-year old forward – as they loosen their purse strings to sign only Petr Cech in the summer.

Although there will be a huge concern on whether Kokorin will be able to hit the ground running in the Premier League, but signing him will be a risk to take by Arsenal.

Arsenal head into the midweek Champions League game against in-form Bayern Munich on Wednesday at the back of a convincing 3-0 away victory over Watford at Vicarage Road on Saturday afternoon.
