Off To England, Chelsea Target Bid Teammates Goodbye, To Undergo Medical Tomorrow

Aleksandar Mitrovic’s move away from Anderlecht looks imminent, with the Striker writing a goodbye message ahead of a transfer.

According to the Sunday Express, Mitrovic is close to sealing a switch to Newcastle United as boss Steve McClaren captures one of his primary targets. The Serbian international is highly rated among scouts and has also been on the radars of Chelsea and Swansea.

Mitrovic told fans on Facebook, as per the report:”Its(sic) over! Again in black and white:)). Thank you RSC Anderlecht! Thank you for everything!”

The 20-year old made a brilliant contribution the last time he was in England. He score the equaliser for Anderlecht in a 3-3 draw with Arsenal in last season’s Champions League tie.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho want to boost his strike force, with Pedro and Antoine Griezmann on the club’s wanted list. The Premier League champions want to activate the former’s release clause of £22 million, and Man United are also interested.

Griezmann, on the other hand, will likely be joining the Blues in a part exchange plus cash which will include a return to Atletico Madrid for Filipe Luis.

Luis is thought to be keen on a return to the Vicente Calderon, with Diego Simeone ready to welcome the Brazilian. Atletico Madrid president also confirmed the club was in negotiations with Chelsea to bring the player back, although he does not know what the outcome may be.

Meanwhile, the Daily Star says Anderlecht will sell Mitrovic but the Serbian international wants to play Champions League football and is understood to be asking for wages of around £60,000 a week plus bonuses.”

Following this, Chelsea appear to be the only club who can offer Mitrovic Champions League football, of all other admirers.

The Anderlecht ace will have no issues settling in, should he make the switch to Stamford Bridge. with fellow Serbs Nemanja Matic and Branislav Ivanonic not only Chelsea players, but also starters in the team.
