That Manchester United are in the market for another right full back is an under statement. Last season Louis Van Gaal was forced to play Valencia who is predominantly a winger as a right back. This was due partly to Brazilian youngster Da Silva’s constant romance with injuries.
It was believed that Louis Van Gaal is keen on sorting this in the transfer window and as such the club has been linked to several right full backs in the last week fews. First it was Dani Alves that was thought to be on his way to old trafford but the Brazilian chose to remain at Barca after he signed a contract extension.
However, it seems Manchester United have finally signed another right back. According to a report on Torino’s website, United has completed the sign of Matteo Darmian from the Italian club.
Although there has been no official statement from United themselves, it is very unimaginable for the Italian club sign to make such a statement if it is not true that a deal has been agreed between both clubs.
Should the report be true, and it is very likely to be true judging by reports constantly linking the player to United, it may be the end of Da Silva at the club as it is very unlikely for United to sign a new full back and put him on the bench especially as they are paying £13m for his signature.
