Pedro Paraded In Manchester United Shirt

Pedro is set to wear a Manchester United shirt this season, according to reports in Spain. Just when we were thinking Pedro’s move to United was appearing to come off the boil to a more cool simmer. Louis van Gaal wants to bring the Spaniard to Old Trafford this summer. Across the Front page of Spanish newspaper is Pedro already in a Manchester United kit with the seemingly obvious clear indication being they think a deal is closing in.

Sport reports that United want to pay €25 million Euros but Barcelona are said to be insisting on the full buy-out fee of €30 milllion Euros for the winger. Marca reported that, Pedro is keen on a move to United, with the Spaniard winger wanting more game time.

Pedro has a 22 million pounds release clause in his Barcelona contract, he is said to have a gentleman agreement with the Catalans which means he can leave this summer for €30 million Euros. Sport also reported that Pedro has told Barcelona he wants to go, and talks are said to become tense between the two giant clubs when they both return from their pre-season tours.

Manchester United have already spent nearly £80 million on five players this summer ahead of the new season. However, with Barcelona still under transfer embargo which means they cannot strengthen until January. The Red Devils may find it hard to convince Barcelona to sell Pedro with Luis Enrique against the proposed move.
