Pedro Rodriguez To Fly To Manchester Tomorrow For Medical, €25m Deal Done

According to reports, Spain and Barcelona forward Pedro Rodriguez appears set to make his switch to Manchester United. The Metro states that the Red Devils would have representatives in Barcelona from tomorrow, in a bid to wrap up the deal- which is reported to be in the region of €25 million.

Despite once looking somewhat indispensable to the Club, the arrivals of red-hot Luis Suarez and Neymar, as well as the mercurial form of Lionel Messi have seen the 27 year-old rapidly slide down the pecking order at the club. As a result, he was reduced to making mainly substitute appearances last term; however, scoring six goals and registering six assists. Despite featuring prominently for the Catalans during the pre-season playing tour, the player is set to depart, after six, trophy-laden seasons at the club.

English League Champions Chelsea were once mooted as his potential destination, with Jose Mourinho revealing his admiration for the player. However, Manchester United, due to their apparent need for a reliable forward, have leapfrogged the Blues’ efforts and are now only whiskers away from landing his services.
