Pedro Rodríguez To Join Chelsea? Fabregas Convinces Winger To Move To Chelsea
Liverpool and Arsenal are set to miss out on the possible signing of Barca winger, Pedro as reports in the Spanish media suggest that the Spanish international has agreed to join Chelsea following some sweet words from former teammate, Cesc Fabregas.
The player has reportedly had a chat with the former Arsenal captain, and has now set his mind towards making the switch to Old Trafford from Spain this summer. Fabregas who returned to English football last summer, after spending three seasons at the Catalan club, is believed to enjoy a personal relationship with Pedro, who seems to finding regular game difficult to achieve. In order to rebuild his career and secure his place in the national team, perhaps, a move to a different league won’t be a bad idea after all.
According to Spanish media outlet, Sport, Pedro was worried about his lack of playing time, and was considering his future before talks of a move started gaining momentum. His fears over not being able to speak English, which he saw as a major stumbling block has now been allayed, with Fabregas assuring him of easy integration given the number of Spanish speaking players already in Chelsea. That of course, convinced him, and he is now set to move to England before the window closes next month.
His decision to move to England is further helped by Barca’s new signing, Arda Turan, who is set to move to the Catalan club as early as January. This further casts doubts over his ability to secure a starting place in the current star-studded Barca team.
