Pedro To Break Chelsea Fans’ Heart, Off To Manchester United, Personal Terms Agreed

According to the Daily Star, Manchester United target Pedro Rodriguez has told the Premier League club to sign him this week or risk missing out all together. And it seems that has apparently been the case with reports making waves now that Chelsea have hijacked Pedro’s transfer to Old Trafford.

As Goal understands, the Red Devils’ reluctance to match Barcelona’s €30m asking price for Pedro has estranged the Spain winger, who now believes he will enjoy a more prominent role at Stamford Bridge. The 28-year old was also reported to have made a U-turn on joining United, due to van Gaal’s treatments of Spaniards – De Gea and Valdes – at Old Trafford, and the Daily Mail said Jose Mourinho’s call to Pedro has convinced Pedro who will now have a medical in London ahead of a move to Chelsea.

Former Premier League star Jan Aage Fjortoft, who now works as a TV pundit as well as coach of the Norway national team, claims (per Daily Star) that Pedro had told Louis van Gaal to get him this week or forget it.

Fjortoft is famed for being in the know of transfer rumours, and he tweeted: “Pedro says, ‘get me this week or I will stay’

“Why would he say that if Man UTD so keen?, he queried.”

However, Spanish football expert had also claimed United have agreed personal terms with Pedro, and it was up to Barcelona and the Premier League club to agree a transfer fee – which United were apparently indecisive about, allowing Chelsea to pounce.

Balague had said: “Ed Woodward, the Manchester United chief executive, has been in Barcelona today (Tuesday), speaking to the club and the word is that a deal will be done this week one way or another.

“I understand a deal between United and the player is already in place and all that is left is for United to put the €30m on the table. They are just negotiating how they are going to pay it, with installments or an amount up-front.

“They are very close. I’m not sure whether Barcelona will try one last time with Pedro and say ‘don’t go’, but it seems his mind is already made up.”

Going by Ballague’s reports, it seems Manchester United’s reluctance to pay Barcelona the €30m swiftly how now hurt and haunt them, with Chelsea now reportedly on the verge of completing a move for the 28-year old Spain international whizz.
