Personal Terms Agreed, Club’s Chief Executive to Finalize Alex Teixeira Deal within Hours

Liverpool pulled an incredible victory against Norwich over the weekend, winning the match 5-4. The Reds aim to finish in the top four by the end of the season and are looking to strengthen the team during the current transfer window.

Alex Teixeira, who has been connected with both Chelsea and Liverpool this transfer window, is expected to complete a move to Anfield.

Reports from Ukraine suggest that the player has already agreed terms with Liverpool and only club level agreement remains. Liverpool has offered £24.5 million for the 26-year-old but Shakhtar Donetsk values the midfielder at around £38 million.

The player himself has acknowledged and confirmed interest from both Chelsea and Liverpool and accepted his desire to play in the Premier League.

Speaking to Globo, a Brazilian newspaper, Teixeira said, ‘I would like to move in this transfer window and have told them [Shakhtar] that. They have received a very good offer and they are working on a solution. But if I don’t go now then I will leave in the summer.

‘After six years in Europe and with Shakhtar we are ready to move and I have spoken to my wife and daughter. It is my desire to move to a big league and I know that the English league is very strong.’
It is reported by Liverpool Echo, that the club’s chief executive is in the process of getting the deal finalised. The club are negotiating a price and the move will happen as soon as a price is accepted by both the parties.
