Personal Terms Agreed – Manchester United Set To Complete “Quick” £45m Deal
Manchester United have issued an ultimatum to Angel Di Maria to either choose to stay at the club or move before the end of the window, according to the Independent.
The Argentine have failed to leave up to expectation since joining the Red Devils from Real Madrid last summer. The 27-year old Argentine completed his British record transfer to Old Trafford last summer, after the Red Devils snapped him up for a mammoth £59.7 million. Things started falling apart for the former Madrid man towards the end of last season, when the manager decided to make him a bit-part member of the team.
He has continued to be linked with both Bayern Munich and PSG since the window opened; with different sources claiming he has already agreed personal terms with the French club, which will see him move to the Ligue 1 before the end of the window.
Now it seems the manager is fed up with speculations surrounding the player, and has now asked him to make up his mind on his future. The player, according to the report, is expected to make up his mind on or before July 25th.
The player’s future has been subject of debate since the club announced the signing of Bastian Schweinsteiger and Morgan Schneiderlin, who can also play in similar position as the Argentine.
Speaking on reports linking the player with a move to his club this summer, PSG manager, Laurent Blanc believes there could be competition for his signature.
“The case of Di Maria is very complicated because he is a player who plays for a very, very big English club,” Blanc said.
“If eventually the player left, one can presume that other big clubs would also be interested in him.”
