Personal Terms Agreed, Pedro To Join Manchester United This Week

The Express reports that Manchester United have finally agreed a deal with Barcelona for want away winger Pedro. The deal taking the Spanish international from the Camp Nou to Old Trafford is believed to be £16 million plus a further £4 million in add-ons.

Spanish media outlet, Marca report that this deal could be announced over the weekend or very early next week. Pedro has been keen to leave the Catalan club after a reduction in playing time over the last season. The signing of Turkish winger Arda Turan from Liga rivals Atletico Madrid has now confirmed that he would face stiffer competion for his already limited playing time. The player has even gone public to state that things are far from ideal for him at the club and that despite being settled in Barcelona, he would look to move as he would not be content with a bench role this coming season.

United boss, Louis van Gaal has been in the market for attacking players to bolster his attacking options ahead of the new season and this deal will be a good coup for the Manchester club as Pedro is an experienced international. He was an intergral part of Pep Guardiola’s Barcelona squad that was touted as the best team ever. He even managed to score six goals in La Liga last season despite being on the bench for most of the time as the phenomenal trio of Neymar, Suarez and Messi led the attack of the Blaugrana.
