Ahead of a possible move to the EPL this summer, Arsenal target, Jackson Martinez has described the Gunners as a “great club.”
Martinez, who is rated at £25 million by his club, has been a long-term target of Arsenal Wenger; with reports in recent weeks linking him with a move to London this summer. According to the Daily Star, the Colombian international is also a target for a host of other clubs, including Milan.
Though, he is expected to complete a massive move to one of Europe’s top clubs this summer, his agent has declined naming, which of the teams the player will be joining.
According to the paper, the Gunners are the player’s favourite destination this summer, with the deal looking even more likely with the Colombian’s recent comments. In a recent interview he granted to A Bola, Martinez was quoted by the Star as saying: “I’ve always had two players I’ve admired above all others: (Luis) Ronaldo and Henry. So I’m very happy he made that comment about me.
“Arsenal are a great team, playing in one of the best leagues in the world.
“I’m still waiting to see what the future holds. It’s not known yet but it will be known soon.
“For now I’m fully focused in the Copa America.
“Every player’s dream is to play where they can feel well and enjoy football, and that’s my dream too.
“Whether it’s in England, Italy or Spain, the most important thing is that my family and I both feel well and I can enjoy my football.”
I guess we may have to see how this turns out as the window heats up.
