Real Madrid midfielder, Sami Khedira made a surprise visit to England to lead a coaching session on Monday. Arsenal target, Khedira was spotted at St George’s Park, Burton, the FA official national football centre for the development of youngsters. The park also serves as the base for the Nike Training Academy.

Sami Khedira, 27, whose future hangs in the balance at Real Madrid, with his contract set to expire at the end of the season, may move away from the Bernabeu, following the marquee signing of James Rodriguez and fellow Germany teammate, Toni Kroos.

He (Khedira) had long been linked with Arsene Wenger’s side, particularly during the summer of the just concluded World Cup staged at Brazil, and with just few months away to the expiration of his contract with Real Madrid, a personal discussion with the Turkish-born German is necessary for Arsene Wenger, particularly in making the midfielder see reasons why Arsenal should be the ideal club for him.

Sami Khedira’s presence in England is a perfect opportunity for Wenger to meet with the German who would leave the Spanish capital on free transfer in January.

While reports also claim Chelsea are still interested in seeing the midfielder at the Stamford Bridge, Arsenal’s manager must act and a meeting would be the perfect avenue for Wenger to convince the German star to commit to the Gunners come January.

A likely meeting between the manager and the player would mean that Arsenal will become the favourites to sign him in the next window transfer. The German international who is currently recovering from an injury he sustained in the previous international break in September showed great enthusiasm while training with the youngsters on the pitch.

The training session which was put together by Nike, was able to pull in Khedira for the session who met the youngsters personally and led them.
