Pique: Ronaldo helped me a lot when I joined Manchester United

Gerard Pique has reflected on his relationship with Cristiano Ronaldo who, despite them now being rivals in Spain, helped him a great deal when they were both at Manchester United.

“If I always speak well about Cristiano it’s because I like him,” he said. “People can draw their own conclusions from the gestures and comments, but they don’t know. I must add that he’s changed a bit recently. He helped me a lot when I joined United.”
