POWERFUL 6ft 2″ TALL Liverpool CB Target CONFIRMS He Will Play For Chelsea

Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen was sent on a two-year loan to the Bundesliga with Borrusia Monchengladbach, who also have another Chelsea star Thorgan Hazard – younger brother of Blues’ talismanic forward Eden Hazard – in their ranks.

As the new BuLi is set to begin, German publication Bild have done a feature on the young Danish.

On getting to Gladbach, Hazard struggled so much to create an impression but then his fortunes changed as he put up a number of admirable displays, making him one of the team’s stars. Therefore, he got a permanent transfer to the club and Chelsea also got a good fee. The Blues also made sure they inserted a buy back clause in his contract at the Bundesliga outfit, although the young Belgian has no intention of leaving at least for now.

According to Bild per Sport Witness, Gladbach thought about turning Christensen’s deal into a permanent one but Chelsea did not acquiesce as they were not interested in that.

Christensen, 19, a Denmark international, also echoes the view of his parent club: “I should get at Gladbach maturity for Chelsea – that’s the plan,” he said, as quoted by Bild.

“I should reach the next level here. Lucien Favre is a top coach. He was also the reason for my change. The football, the Borussia play good football, I want to play. The quick passing game like that.”

Sport Witness postulates that Mourinho is watching Christensen ardently and seeing if he would get to the level which Jose expects before the player can make a Chelsea first team bow.

Chelsea are chasing Everton youngster John Stones who Jose sees as captain John Terry’s long term heir. The Blues have seen two bids of £20m and £26m rebuffed by the Toffees, but reports today claims a £30m offer will railroad the Goodison Park landlord into selling the 21-year old England international centre-back.
