Football clubs up and down the land have a wealth of songs sung to them by their supporters on a regular basis, with Queens Park Rangers being no exception. In some ways, there is something about QPR’s position as one of the lesser-supported London clubs that means that fans are well placed to be able to come up with a whole host of songs and chants aimed at offering their team the kind of support that it needs to be able to win, yet the truth is that many of the ditties brought out on a regular basis are variations on a theme.

In the case of this song, it is mostly about supporting their team, but revolves around the idea of not letting the Stamford Bridge club get one over on them if it can be avoided at any point in the future.

One of the things that Queens Park Rangers supporters are able to turn to more than other clubs is the fact that they have a (nearly) unique name. Yes, there are both a Queens Park and a Rangers in Scotland, but it isn’t exactly the most common of names for teams. This means that supporters can go through the process of coming up with songs that point to that fact, with more than a few of the chants issued out during matches being based around the ‘Rangers’ name.
