Real Madrid Target Reportedly Signed a New 5-Year Contract with Gunners, Will Earn £180k-a-week
Arsenal have moved swiftly in contract negotiations with forward Alexis Sanchez.
The Chilean international, who moved to Emirates Stadium from Barcelona 18 months back, has been linked with a move to Chelsea and Real Madrid recently.
Speculations regarding move to Chelsea were fuelled by Jorge Sampaoli, former manager of Chile national team, as the manager is one of the leading candidates to take over Blues in the summer. His main requirement to take over Chelsea was to bring Alexis Sanchez with him.
The speculation has prompted the Gunners to sort out a new deal for the player as they are desperate to keep the player at the club.
The 27-year-old, who arrived in a £35 million deal from Barca, has been a tremendous success at the North London club and has scored 35 goals in 76 games for the Gunners.
The Guardian claims that Sanchez has agreed to sign on a new deal which will put an end to all the speculations regarding his future.
The new five-year contract will be worth more than £51 million. The new deal will bump Sanchez’s wages from £130k-per-week to £180k-per-week.
Sanchez won the FA Cup in his debut season with the Gunners. He remains a vital part of the Arsene Wenger’s plans this season as the Gunners chase Premier League trophy.
