Real Madrid To ACCEPT Arsenal’s Bid For Benzema

According to the Daily Express, Real Madrid are set to accept Arsenal’s offer for their frontman Karim Benzema.

The 27-year old has been the subject of transfer speculation throughout this summer. He has long been linked with a move to the Gunners and if reports out of the Daily Express are true, he is set to finalize a deal to Arsenal. They reported that the Spanish giants are set to accept Arsenal’s £31.3 million offer for the Frenchman while they continue in their pursuit of Borussia Dortmund’s, Marco Reus.

With new coach, Rafa Benitez experimenting with the idea of Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale at the top of his attack spells a reduction in playing time for Benzema and with the European Championship scheduled to be held in his native France next summer. He would prefer a guarantee of first team football so he enter the championship in good form and fitness. With Benitez reluctant to make any promises to the forward, a move to Arsenal will do good for all parties involved. The player will get playing time, Arsenal will get a much needed superstar forward while Madrid will move on a disgruntled player (at a decent fee) who poses the risk of disrupting the squad harmony.

Benzema enjoyed a good campaign last term when he scored 15 goals and assisted 10 goals in 29 La Liga games.

Arsenal are in need of an elite forward to partner Olivier Giroud as he is the only out and out striker in the first team. Benzema has the ability to lead the line on his own and can even act as a creative force by linking up play as evidenced in the 44 chances he created for his team mates last season in La Liga.
