Reliable German Paper Bild Confirms Arsenal’s Bid For £42m Rated Star

Arguably one of the best attackers in Bundesliga, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, has emerged as a transfer prime target for Arsenal, per Bild. The 26-year-old Gabon international joined Borussia Dortmund from Saint-Etienne in the summer of 2013 and has since established himself as the most valuable player within the rank of Dortmund.

Arsenal were thought to be interested in the forward during the summer but they failed to sign any player other than Petr Cech. The report stated that Arsenal will attempt to sign him despite the price tag of €60 million (£42million) meted on them.

The forward has been in blistering form beginning this term – Aubameyang has scored 14 goals in 12 appearances for Dortmund in the Bundesliga this term and has a 41.2% conversion rate.

Arsenal boast of the best creative midfielders in Premier League but the conversion rate of Giroud and the other strikers might impede their title chances. Giroud has a 20% conversion rate, which means Aubameyang is more prolific than the French.

Should Arsenal sign the clinical finisher, they would have signed one of the best attackers in the world and Welbeck might need to give way.
