Ryan Giggs

Report: Ryan Giggs leaving Manchester United to make place for Jose Mourinho?

The life expectancy of a football manager seems to be getting shorter and shorter these days, with managers coming and going as often as marquee signings.

Ronny Deila revealed recently that he will be departing Celtic at the end of the current season, much to the delight of many Celtic fans who will be excited about the prospect of a new manager to take them forward. According to the Daily Mail, one name that has been mentioned who could possible do a good job in Glasgow is Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs.

Former evergreen midfielder and current assistant boss at Manchester United, Ryan Giggs, is pondering whether to officially apply for the job and go into management in Scotland. He wants to manage clubs but he is not sure whether Scotland is the right place for him.

Next season will see the return of the old firm derby as Celtic will be joined by Rangers for the first time in a few years. Celtic are expected to dominate the league as they have done for a while but the Rangers fixture adds extra excitement.

Giggs is looking for clarification over his United future as Jose Mourinho, if he is hired to take over Van Gaal as expected, will look to bring in his own staff and Giggs may find himself falling down the pecking order. It might be a tough pill to take for Giggs after having a 28 year association with the Red Devils.
