Revealed – Jurgen Klopp To Beat Manchester United To Striker Signing In January

According to reports in Italy, Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp is keen on Sassuolo’s Domenico Berardi, and the German could make the starlet his first signing at Anfield.

Italian source Calciomercato claim Klopp has admired Berardi, 21, throughout his fledgling career in the Serie A, and the 48-year old former Borussia Dortmund gaffer was prevented from signing the youngster due to the player being co-owned by Sassuolo and Juventus.

Now that Berardi solely belongs to Juventus, Liverpool have the chance to make a swoop for the player in January, despite the Bianconeri putting a buyout clause in his contract at Turin. As per the Metro, Liverpool’s finances and Klopp’s ambition could see Berardi end up at Merseyside.

Although there have been claims that Klopp is interested in bringing in two of his former charges at Borussia Dortmund in Marco Reus and Ilkay Gundogan, but it appears Berardi could now be the German boss’ main target.

Next up for Liverpool is a tough away trip to White Hart Lane against Tottenham, with Klopp looking to start his career at Anfield with a convincing win.
