Revealed: Manchester United gave this promise to Jose Mourinho after signing contract

Widespread reports emerging are claiming that former Chelsea boss, Jose Mourinho has now signed a contract to replace Louis van Gaal as Manchester United boss this summer. Mourinho who was relieved of his duty at Stamford Bridge earlier in the season amidst a poor run of result, is said to be on the verge of joining another English Premier League giant.

It is now understood that the Red Devils board have now made Jose Mourinho a promise that he would have the final say on the new players joining the club, at Stamford bridge technical director Michael Emenalo had a major say on the players Mourinho could sign with Chelsea owner, Roman Abramovich also chipping in with a few signings of his own, but it appears Mourinho will have the liberty to bring in players of his own at Old Trafford.

The report states that Mourinho has been at the Red Devil’s games in order to assess the current crop of players and determine which areas need strengthening in the transfer window.

It also says that Mourinho is ready to return to his homeland to sign players from the Portuguese league.

Benfica midfielder anchor, Renato Sanches has been a leading target for United since the winter while they have also been linked with moves for Braga’s Rafa Silva and Sporting Lisbon duo William Carvalho and Joao Mario. Paris St. Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Everton defender John Stones are also see as potential targets for Mourinho.
