Revealed – Real Reason Manchester United Did Sign Pedro
In light of the recent hijack by Chelsea on the transfer of Pedro, Journalist Andy Mitten has shed some light on the deal. The Journalist claimed that Pedro was fully ready for a move to Manchester United and Manchester United also wanted to sign Pedro but the Red Devils proved to be the stumbling block in the deal.
He said ‘MU wanted Pedro and he wanted to go. For a month. Utd didn’t meet €30m buy out which Barça were adamant they wanted all along. Very odd.’ It is reported that after much negotiations Manchester United were willing to meet the 30 million Euros buyout clause but were looking to pay 25 million Euros and 5 million Euros in add-ons which Barcelona didn’t accept. Manchester United’s failure to wrap up the Pedro deal on time gave Chelsea the ability to hijack the deal.
A lot of United’s fans all over the world will be overly disappointed as to how United failed to land Pedro for just 5 million Euros despite receiving a large fee for the sale of Di Maria. Manchester United have made a big mess out of the Pedro transfer and it certainly feels like life under David Moyes again. What has been a very good start to the transfer window is turning into an utter disappointment. With just few weeks left to the close of the transfer window, Ed Woodward and Louis Van Gaal need to go back to the drawing board and salvage what is left of our transfer window. Only a marquee signing can cause United fans to forgive Ed Woodward and Louis Van Gaal for the big mess they have made.
