Di Maria has admitted to being convinced by Cristiano Ronaldo to join Man Utd. Of course CR7 will have good things to say about Man Utd, after all it can be argued that he became the player he is today during his stay at the club and there is a likelihood that he will return, till then, we will be focusing on Di Maria.

I would have loved to dwell on stats and how important he is going to be for Man Utd, but at the recent world cup in Brazil, he acquitted himself and endeared himself to millions of fans the world over. Last season at Madrid he was the standout player and created lots of chances for his teammates and now at Utd, he has not only been creating, he has joined in the action, scoring.
United with this transfer have been able to pass a strong message to the world that they are still a force to reckon with the world of soccer. First, they are still able to pull stars despite no Champions League. Falcao is another name that pops up. The Colombian signed on loan from Monaco after Di Maria signed and it might the attraction of playing alongside Di Maria that compelled him, this claim though cannot be substantiated.
