Road CLEARS For Chelsea To Sign WORLD CLASS Midfiedler – The End Of Oscar?

There are several intriguing transfer sagas dominating the football world this summer, involving players of the ilk of Raheem Sterling, Karim Benzema , Arturo Vidal and Antoine Griezmann. However, none of those tops the Paul Pogba transfer tussle that has involved seemingly all the top clubs from Europe. It would not be folly to suggest that the 22-year-old French midfielder is the most in-demand player in the world right now.

Several top tier clubs like Barcelona , Real Madrid , Bayern Munich , Manchester United , Chelsea and Manchester City were all interested in acquiring the services of the player initially , but reports emerging in the last few days have indicated that the outright competition is between Chelsea , City and Barcelona. Barcelona had been the favorites to land the Juventus midfielder amid promises from Presidential candidate and favorite for the post Joan Laporta , to bring the dominant central midfielder to Camp Nou.

However, current president Josep Bartomeu has now thrown a spanner in the works by claiming that the club is out of running for the signature of Pogba. Speaking to the Spanish media , Bartomeu sensationally claimed :

“We will not buy Pogba this year. We are not planning with him for next season. He is not part of our sporting plans for 2015-16 at this stage.”

These comments from the club president have sent the rumor mill into overdrive , with many claiming that it would be an outright battle between Chelsea and City for the player’s signature.

This presents Chelsea with a unique opportunity to improve an already perfect squad with a player who can be a permanent fixture in their midfield for the next decade. Any deal for Pogba is likely to command a world record fee but the player is absolutely worth the investment. Mourinho will feel that he has an ace up his sleeve in the form of Brazilian midfielder Oscar , who is a reported target of Juventus boss Max Allegri.

Pogba has the ability to walk into any team on the planet on merit. He has long been touted as the French Football’s next big hope. Capable of playing anywhere across the midfield, the 22-year-old possesses a deadly mix of pace, strength, aerial prowess and technical ability. Chelsea fans will be hoping their club is successful in bringing the Juventus superstar. His arrival can certainly propel the Blues to new heights and assist Mourinho to conquer Europe.
