Ronaldo To Manchester United Rumour Takes Another Twist

Manchester United have an uphill task of fending off interests from Paris Saint-Germain who have been confirmed to be interested in Neymar and Ronaldo – both United targets – of Barcelona and Real Madrid respectively.

French outlet Le Parisien reveal [as claimed by journalist Robin Bairner] that French Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain are chasing Ronaldo, and if the fail in landing the reigning World Footballer of the Year, the Paris-based outfit will move for Manchester City striker Aguero, or Neymar.

PSG, the richest club in France and one of the wealthiest in the world after Qatar Sports Investments became one of their shareholders in 2012, can easily compete with any European heavyweight for star players and now they want Ronaldo next summer.

As per El Chiringuito, Ronaldo is unhappy with life under Rafa Benitez and PSG boss Laurent Blanc is also planning a move for the 30-year old Portuguese forward.

Meanwhile, Ronaldo’s former club Manchester United are interested in luring the Los Blancos number 7 back to Old Trafford next summer and with PSG also in the race to sign the Madeira-born footballer, Louis van Gaal’s side will have an arduous task of fending off interests from the Parc des Princes Landlords.

United’s executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward should be swift in making moves for either Neymar or Ronaldo as early as January so as to possibly reach an agreement with their clubs ahead of the summer transfer window. This is one way in which the Red Devils can succeed in beating PSG to the signings of either of the duo.

Bairner stated that if PSG fail in their bid to land Ronaldo next summer, the French outfit could make a move for Aguero or Neymar.

Aguero joined City from Atletico Madrid in 2011 and at the Etihad, the Argentinian striker has established himself as one of the best strikers in the world.

Neymar, 23, is also regarded as one of the best players in the world since moving to Barca from Santos in 2013. The Brazil international is La Liga top goalscorer so far this term with eight goals to his name.
