A long term target of Manchester United, Mauro Icardi, has revealed he is willing to make a move to the Premier League in order to team up with Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford. He revealed that he is open to offers and would love to play in the best League in Europe.
Mauro Icardi is 23 and currently plays for Inter Milan in Serie A and many sources think that he will be at the top of Jose Mourinho’s shopping list, should the Portuguese manager take over at the end of the season as expected.
How much would the Argentinian cost? A figure of around £35million has been mentioned for the striker who can certainly score goals. Champions League football appears to be something that entices him:
“The possibility to qualify for the Champions League is almost gone, but we will keep on trying. There are still four games and we must try to do well, even if we have to compete with a strong team like Roma. Today we didn’t deserve to lose, but we didn’t take our chances. My future without the Champions? I am here to win with this club, but if there will be some offers, we’ll have to talk with the club. I think about playing.”
Manchester United are still battling for a Champions League place next season but there chances appear to be slipping with only a few games remaining.
