Sergio Ramos speaks on possible Chelsea transfer: “It’s flattering”

Sergio Ramos is one of the greatest footballers in the world. His work rate and concentration in the field has made him every top manager’s blue-eyed man. Antoine Conte is the latest manager to express interest in the player, and the player is well pleased.

Sergio Ramos is the current captain of Real Madrid FC. He also plays for the Spain national team. As a Real Madrid fan, you always have a reason to love Ramos, because he will fight to the last ounce of his energy to save his team. This has seen him get 21 red cards in his Real Madrid career, and there are more to come.

Diehard fans of Ramos will remember him, among other reasons, for his late equalizer in Lisbon that helped Madrid fulfil La Décima dream. Well, at the age of 30, Ramos has already won the Champions League, the World Cup, three La Liga titles and two European Championships. Perhaps Chelsea’s interest in the player are due to his huge experience.

Incoming Chelsea coach is keen to bring the footballer to Stamford Bridge, although Ramos wants to retire at the Santiago Bernabéu. Nonetheless, he admits that the rumors linking him to the English side are flattering. He has been a target of Manchester United as well, but he signed a new contract at the beginning of the season to end the speculation that he may be on his way out.
Speaking to El Partido de las 12, a Spanish radio programme, Ramos said that interest from other big clubs always mean that he is doing well. However, since his fans and his club want him, he is keen to remain at Real Madrid.
