Sergio Ramos To Become Man United Player After Phone Discussion With LVG
According to Spanish media reports, Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos, is still pushing for a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu. After it looked like the storm involving the player and the club’s heirarchy had calmed a bit, the 29 year-old defender is allegedly looking to resurrect it; as reports state that he recently personally contacted Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal to discuss his situation at Madrid, and his hope to still join United, soonest.
Following the protracted saga, a number of top-clubs looked to capitalize on his seeming instability at the club, and United looked to be in pole position to sign him. He even allegedly expressed his desire to move to the Old Trafford, and tried various means to make the Madrid club see a deal through.
However, he is currently on a pre-season tour of Australia with the Real Madrid team- a development which appears to have put paid to all transfer speculations.
As it stands; though very unlikely, but a last-minute transfer for the player may eventually go through, as United appear to still have their sights on Ramos. After announcing the arrivals of Schweinsteiger and Schneiderlin, the Red Devils might just snap up Ramos in the coming days.
