SHOCK – Chelsea Striker Tells Media He Has Options To Leave the Club
Chelsea striker Patrick Bamford last night announced that he would be returning to his parent club after an unsuccessful stint with Crystal Palace.
The 22-year old failed to start any League game for Palace and made just five substitute appearances. Since yesterday, he has been linked with loan moves to the likes of Swansea, Bournemouth and Norwich City.
Goal.com has reported that the Cherries and the Canaries are interested in the services of the former England U-21 international whereas Daily Mail has suggested that Wales club Swansea City are also interested in the player.
He confirmed today that a number of Premier League clubs are interested in signing him.
“I think I have got to be open to all options. Ideally, I want to stay in the Prem, and I think there are a few options to stay in the Prem, so now it is about assessing which is best, and we will go from there,” he said.
“I think after New Year go back with Chelsea and then take it from there. It is up to me to work hard then and see what happens.”
Manager Guus Hiddink might prefer to keep the striker at Stamford Bridge as the Blues are desperately in search of a new striker.
