SHOCK THE WORLD – Club Offers Biggest Star in a Swap Deal for James Rodriguez

Reports from Spain have revealed that Chelsea are looking to use Real Madrid’s interest in Eden Hazard to their advantage by demanding a swap deal for Los Blancos midfielder James Rodriguez. Spanish publication Don Balon have reported this piece of news, which comes as the latest and most interesting development in Real’s pursuance of Belgium playmaker Hazard.

The Chelsea star had a fantastic season last time around when he spearheaded the Blues victory of the Barclays Premier League. Hazard scored a total of 19 goals and notched up 13 assists in 54 appearances in the entire 2014/2015 season to cap off a fantastic year for himself. This season though has been a disaster for the 24-year-old as he has failed to hit the back of the net in 23 appearances over three competitions.

It is very difficult to understand whether his lack of form is responsible for Chelsea’s downfall or is Chelsea’s poor run the reason behind Hazard’s disastrous spell. Whatever may be the reason though, Real Madrid are looking likely to offer the player an escape route.

The La Liga giants usually have the world’s best players in their sights and the situation is no different with Hazard. Rafa Benitez and/or whoever is in charge of  transfers at Real have identified Hazard as the man they want to bring to their club. Chelsea are, of course, not interested to let go of their best man and the Blues boss has come up with a new strategy to ward off Real’s interest in his star asset.

The Blues may very well be responding to Real’s moves for Hazard by digging their heels in and asking for James Rodriguez in return. This demand should not go down well with Real and it may just put them off from the Eden Hazard race and force them to look elsewhere for talent.
