SHOCKING – Alexis Sanchez Set To Return To Action Faster Than Expected
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Alexis Sanchez should return for the Gunners against Liverpool later this month. The 26-year-old Chilean International was handed an extended break by the manager this summer because of his exploits last season for the Gunners and also because of his involvement in the Copa America for his country Chile.
The Chile International who finished as Arsenal’s top goal scorer in the Premier league with 16 goals, scored the penalty that won his country their first Copa America trophy, as they won it on home soil.
He was marvelous for the Gunners last season but returned to the club’s training ground earlier this week so therefore, he isn’t fit enough just yet to play for the Emirate club.
Wenger does not expect Alexis to be fit in time, which means he will likely miss games against West Ham United and Crystal Palace, but he should be back for the home game against Liverpool.
The Gunners host the Reds on august 24th. Liverpool’s first two games will be against Stoke City(away) and Bournemouth(home) before they travel to the Emirates to play the Gunners.
Sanchez scored the last time the two sides met as Arsenal hit four past a woeful Liverpool side last season.
Alexis completed 115 take-ons in the premier league last season-the second-most in the Division.
