SHOCKING – Benzema To Arsenal Deal Is Back On, Wenger’s Direct Involve Could Get It Done

This is football, anything can happen. That’s how the saying goes. And what about players? Ardent football lovers would not argue that players tend to lie at times, even when on the football pitch. Hence, there still appears to be a glimmer of hope for Arsenal and their fans as regards the signing of a top notch striker this summer, as Karim Benzema who has been the Gunners’ main target in the transfer window could still make a switch to the Emirates before September 2.

On Monday, the Real Madrid striker dealt Arsenal a heavy blow after tweeting via his official Twitter page that he is set to remain with Los Blancos and he will not join Arsenal.

@Benzema: “For all those clowns who want to make believe things at my fans. Here is my home ! #HalaMadridYNadaMas”

However, it appears the tweet will mean nothing after all, with French reporter Pierre Menes [via Get French Football] now claiming Arsenal have held talks with Benzema’s agent over a move to the Emirates.

It is understood the influential journalist has been on Canal TV recently announcing that Arsenal are still in contact with the agent of the France international striker. Although it is not clear when the meeting took place, but it is understood to be a couple of days ago, and Arsenal are increasingly confident the deal will be completed before the closure of the transfer window next week.

This will come as no surprise given the fact that former players of Real Madrid including Rafael van der Vaart, Mesut Ozil, Wesley Sneidjer, Angel Di Maria and even Arjen Robben claimed they would not be leaving the Santiago Bernabeu and some days after, they were found to have switched to other clubs. Ozil, now of Arsenal, have stated he would not leave the Spanish capital, saying he loved the city and the fans. But when it was announced that Arsenal have struck a deal, the German ace had to fabricate another story. Although some of them like Di Maria reportedly left Los Blancos because Manchester United offer higher wages, the main point is they left after having claimed they would not.

Therefore, if the reports from Menes is true, the Arsene Wenger knows what he is really doing – with the Frenchman affirming in his press conference yesterday that the club are working day and night to bring in a player before next week.
