SHOCKING DEAL? National Team Mate Trying To Lure Arsenal Star To His Club

In what could be described as one of the most bizarre transfer rumours this window, Italian sports site, Tuttosport reports that German international and new Juventus signing, Sami Khedira is trying to lure Arsenal playmaker and fellow international teammate in the German national team, Mesut Ozil to join him in his new club.

According to the newspaper, the Serie A champions are believed to be eyeing the Arsenal forward as a possible replacement for Paul Pogba, who is believed to be on his way out of the club this summer, if any club is able to match his valuation. While anything is possible during the transfer window, this story appears to be wide off the mark, as Ozil is believed to be enjoying himself as Arsenal’s star man.

While Juve are known to be a football powerhouse in Europe, the Italian Serie A no longer commands the same attraction for world class players as the English Premier League. Moreover, the transfer fee being quoted by the newspaper shows a lack of respect for the World Cup winner, who remains Arsenal’s record signing. The paper quotes a fee of £29 million, which is wide off the mark, considering the player’s class and market value. If a player like Raheem Sterling could go for as high as £45 million, one wonders how much it would cost for a club to negotiate a deal for one of Europe’s most skilful players.

Both players are believed to be best of friends, but that is not enough reason to claim he wants a move out of the Emirates, where the sun is once again on the rise.
