Manchester United have been handed a boost in their pursuit for Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos. Reports coming out of Spain are suggesting that the Spanish defender is still interested in joining Manchester United despite claims that Ramos had renewed his contract with the club. The central defender is reported to be angry at reports that are saying he has renewed his contract with the club and believes Real Madrid are using those reports to force him into signing a contract renewal with the club.

Louis Van Gaal who has made the signing of Sergio Ramos a top priority was looking to use Real Madrid’s interest in David De Gea to seal a swap deal between the two clubs but Madrid rejected the deal. However with Sergio Ramos still keen on joining Manchester United, Real Madrid will have no choice but to accept the swap deal.
