SHOCKING – Midfielder Says It is A Waste Of Time To Stay At Chelsea

Chelsea’s Brazilian attacking midfielder, Lucas Piazon has said that it would be useless and “a waste of time” to stay at the club, ESPN Brazil reports (via Squawka).

Piazon joined the Blues in the summer of 2011 and has played and three competitive matches for the team. He has since played on loan at Malaga, Vitesse and Frankfurt respectively since 2012.

The Brazilian’s last season outing for Frankfurt was not really impressive as he scored only two goals and completed 38% of his duels last term (Squawka).

He has now been reported to spoken of his desire to leave Chelsea as he sees staying at Stamford Bridge as fruitless. He, however, claims he wants to stay at Eintracht Frankfurt in Germany.

“I don’t want to stay there (at Chelsea). It will be a waste of time being there. Play one game every two weeks. I would rather leave and play all games this year,” Piazon said to ESPN Brazil.

Meanwhile, Piazon is not the only Chelsea youngster getting loaned out by the club with a host of the Premier League champions’ other players set to play on loan for other clubs next season.

Marco Van Ginkel who played on loan at AC Milan last season has now joined Stoke City on another season-long loan move. Also, Nathan Baker, Izzy Brown, Bertrand Traore and new recruit, Nathan will be playing at Vitesse in the 2015-16 season. Christian Atsu is another youngster who will be playing for newly-promoted EPL side, AFC Bournemouth next term, while Andreas Christensen has joined Borussia Monchengladbach too.

Nevertheless, according to 90 Min, Lucas Piazon has moved to quench the storm that his reported “waste of time” comments might bring.

The aforementioned source says the ex-Sao Paulo player – who is presently in Toronto with the Brazil U-23 for the Pan-America Games – revealed through his PR on his official facebook page that he only meant he would love to be farmed out on loan again rather than stay at Stamford Bridge and not play.
