Wojciech Szczęsny back to arsenal

Shocking Statement: Arsenal Player Tells to Media “I Hope Arsenal Will not Win the Title”

Wojciech Szczesny has spoken about Arsenal winning the title and he isn’t a big fan of the possibility. Although he has admitted it would be great if the Gunners are crowned league champions but he would rather be a part of it.

Szczesny was sent on a loan to Roma after losing his place to David Ospina. His performance on the field was unimpressive with major errors and therefore it took little time for Ospina to become the number one choice of Arsene Wenger.

The 25-year-old on the other hand, also had disciplinary issues where he was caught smoking. Similar incident happened at Roma where he lost his first-team privileges because of it.

He did return to action for Roma, against Sassuolo, giving an impressive performance.

The Poland international has been following Arsenal’s campaign and is aware of the huge possibility of them being league champions and he is not too fond of the thought.

According to Express, Szczesny said, ‘I was there for four seasons, there were other goalkeepers before me and they didn’t win the title either.’

‘I hope they will be champions, honestly. I spoke to Theo Walcott yesterday and told him they have to win it, but it’s going to make me look like some kind of idiot!

‘They never won it when I was there and now, ‘Oh look, Szczesny is gone so it’s obvious what the problem was.

‘I’m joking, but maybe it’s true after all.’
