SHOCKING – Wenger Set To SANCTION Transfer of £60,000-A-Week Spaniard

Despite having one of his best seasons since joining the Gunners about two seasons ago, Nacho Monreal is being lined up for a shocking return back to the La Liga, according to Spanish newspaper Marca.

In his place, the Frenchman is considering signing Faouzi Ghoulam, who plays for Serie A side Napoli. Despite being Wenger’s preferred man for the left-back position, Monreal continues to be linked with a move back to his home country. The report, if true, could leave most Arsenal fans in shock, as the player is seen as one of the most improved in the current team, and nothing suggests he is unhappy playing for the current FA Cup champions.

Napoli reportedly wants a transfer fee of €12 million, which according to the paper; Wenger is not prepared to match. The Gunners, are however, believed to be making moves to negotiate the player’s transfer fee downward to €10 million, but may now be forced to come up with Napoli’s asking price as both Atletico Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are also reportedly interested in signing the Algerian.

The deal appears to be the only hurdle stopping Monreal from leaving the Emirates, according to the Spanish newspaper, who is currently linking the Spanish international with a move to Bilbao.

It is highly unlikely that Wenger would let Monreal leave the Emirates considering the kind of season he has had. The player has not shown any sign of unhappiness also, which makes any report linking him with a move out of the Emirates highly unlikely.
