Spanish football expert Guillem Balague has claimed that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has put a blank cheque in front of Pep Guardiola in order to convince him to come to Stamford Bridge in the summer.
But the Spaniard still prefers a move to Man City. The former Barcelona manager has been linked with a move to Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal recently, but all reliable sources indicate that he is heading to Man City in the summer.
“It is clear Chelsea have put a blank cheque in front of him, saying we want you in charge at whatever cost,” Balague said. “But in terms of flirting, the ones that haven’t stopped since day one are Txiki Begiristain and Ferran Soriano. They think they’ve done enough to convince him.
“The big attraction at Manchester City is the fact it’s developing into something that is huge, they have three or four clubs around the world, the brand is growing, if they manage to get Guardiola, they’ve got it.
