Star Flies To Germany To See Specialist, May Need Surgery As Club Is Rocked With Another Injury Blow

Italian and Liverpool striker Balotelli may be needing a hernia surgery to rectify his groin injury after all as Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport report in their Tuesday edition that Mario Balotelli has travelled to Munich, Germany, for a consultation to see what could be done to resolve the player’s hernia problem.

Gazzetta dello Sport are claiming that the Liverpool player, currently on loan with AC Milan, will have a consultation with specialist Doctor Ulrike Muschaweck ahead of a planned operation on his groin and Dr. Muschaweck will be the one to confirm the need for an operation or not after an earlier visit to Professor Per Holmich in Copenhagen who also stated that an operation could be the solution to the player’s problem.

Balotelli has been sidelined due to the injury for a couple of months and AC Milan had been hoping to avoid an operation which might keep the player out of action for too long but none of their alternative treatments have worked and it was decided last week that Balotelli would likely have to undergo surgery.

Milan have had to maintain contact with Liverpool and it has been decided that this could be the best way forward for the benefit of the player and clubs.

Sadly though, this is terrible news for both clubs and the player as he had started to get back his form but with this recent injury, he will likely lapse back in his form and this will not augur well with Liverpool who were hoping for a better striker to return to the club.

Maybe this will be enough to convince the striker to focus on his football career and improve himself instead of trying to foment new trouble while not even making any impact, it remains to be seen.
