Mesut Ozil was brought in to the Emirates two seasons ago for a fantastic fee of £42.4million but since then has not done so much for the club to earn respect from the Gunners fans.
He immediately shone for a few matches upon joining from Real Madrid and provided assists and contributed immensely to the general performance of the team with unbelievable dribbles and touches but soon ran out steam and could not seem to able to do better than that again.
But after a magnificent start to the season so far, Mesut Ozil finally seems to be justifying the £42.4million Arsenal paid for him back in 2013.
Some Gooners have even been bold enough to make claims the German World Cup winner is now the best number 10 in the English Premier League and statistics have proven that they clearly have enough reasons to brag.
The 27-year-old midfielder grabbed two assists against Watford on Saturday meaning he now has the joint-most assists in the Premier League with Manchester City’s David Silva.
Statistics show that Ozil is the best playmaker in the Barclay’s Premier League at the moment as he’s leading the way in key passes, assists and chances created.
Arsenal fans will hope that this is not a short stint that will soon die off but one that will continue and maybe even be enough to win the league trophy for the team.
