Rodriguez to Man Utd

Super-agent Jorge Mendes in negotiations to transfer Man Utd target James Rodriguez

James Rodriguez has struggled to make it to new coach Zinedine Zidane’s squad of late and that has resulted in a dip in his performances, the 24-year-old has featured in just 24 games for the Spanish giants in all competitions this season, hitting the back of the net 9 times.

Report surfacing from Italy suggests the Colombian playmaker could now be moving to Italian giants, Juventus in the summer. It is also believed that super-agent Jorge Mendes has begun negotiations with the Serie A champions.

It has be said that Mendes has met with the Italian side’s representatives to draw out plans for a deal that would be completed as soon as the transfer window opens in the summer, Real Madrid are said to have put a 50million price tag for the player who cost them a massive €80million when they signed him from Monaco after the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

Florentino Perez seems to fancy the move as he does not want a high salary earner who does not have the faith of the club’s coach. Rodriguez also squashed claims of him being fat, he said, “Fat? Me? I’m in the best shape I’ve been.” He also responded to his lack of playing time at Madrid saying: When you play and have everyone’s support it’s easier.”
The two clubs, Juventus and Real Madrid look to be discussing a number of transfers this summer with the Spanish side expected to utilize their buy back clause on Alvaro Morata.
