Premier League clubs Arsenal and Chelsea are battling it out to sign Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Granit Xhaka, according to reports. German publication Bild reports that both clubs are interested in the Swiss international and will try to secure his services in the summer.
The 23-year-old has emerged as one of the most sought after talent in Germany and along with Premier League duo, Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich have registered their interest in the player.
Monchengladbach sporting director Max Eberl recently revealed that the player can leave the club for the right price.
‘It depends a bit on our own sporting success, it depends on Granit’s own performances and, of course, it depends on the figures,’ Eberl told WDR2.
‘It is all in our own hands. As things stand, we are happy to have him with us and hopefully he will stay with us for a long time.’
