Team-mate Speaks on Diego Costa and his recent Controversy

Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois supported team mate Diego Costa to keep up his goal scoring spree following the striker impressive performance at the 1-0 win at the Emirates on Sunday.

Costa scored the winner in the 1-0 victory (23rd Premier League game) over bitter rivals Arsenal.

The Brazilian born Spaniard has struggled to recapture the stunning goal scoring form he displayed on his first season at the Stamford Bridge, when he scored 20 goals in 26 Barclays Premier League appearances that helped Chelsea win the title last season.

Following his recent form, it is evident that the former-Atletico Madrid star have found his scoring touch under Chelsea interim boss Guus Hiddink who replaced Jose Mourinho a few months ago.

Costa has since scored six goals in all appearances in all competitions.

In that vein, Courtois believes that Costa has some goals under his belt and he is set to grab many more in their next games.

Speaking via the clubs website, goalkeeper said: “We knew that when he scored a few goals again he would go on and score more, and I think he has confidence.”

“He’s a top striker and he will score more goals for us, this was a big one.”
