The Boss Confirms Manchester United Could Sign 6ft 2″ Striker – Not Muller
According to the official site of Ukranian club, Dynamo Kiev, Sergei Rebrov who is the current coach has confirmed that Manchester United are keeping tabs on his star forward, Andriy Yarmolenko.
In the post match press conference after Dynamo Kiev thrashed Hirnyk-Sport 6-0, Sergei Rebrov confirmed the interest from the English club after Yarmolenko scored a hat-trick on his way to picking the man of the match award.
The 25-year old Ukraine international who has been massively linked with a move to Goodison Park according to a report from OffThePost, has now caught the eye of United boss, Louis van Gaal who sees him as a possible solution to the problems in their attack. However, Rebrov has reitterated his deire to hold onto his man as Yarmolenko is one of the key figures at the club.
“Yarmolenko is a very good footballer who I need. How events will develop further, I think you know. I do not care who is interested in him- Everton or Manchester United. Again this is a footballer who I need “.
Manchester United have been in the market for attacking reinforcements but with their pursuits of Pedro (who has signed for Chelsea) and Thomas Muller have been unsuccesful and with the club scoring just one player goal after three matches, the need to bolster their attack cannot be overemphasised.
The Metro reports that Manchester United hold an interest in Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale while an OffThePost article has linked them with Southampton’s Saido Mane.
