Chelsea have struggled for goals this season and they have identified PSG striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic as the solution to their problems. Sport Italia reports that the Blues want to sign the Swedish International as soon as January. According to the report, the London club are ready to offer as much as £300,000-a-week wages to lure the 34-year-old to Stamford Bridge.
Ibrahimovic currently has six months left on his current deal with PSG, but Jose Mourinho wants to bring the striker in January at any cost. The former Barcelona star was also recently linked with a move to Chelsea’s local rivals- Arsenal.
Chelsea are also keeping tabs at Real Madrid superstar James Rodriguez. Spanish outlet Don Balon reports that the Premier League club is planning to make a summer move for the Colombian. According to the report, Rodriguez is contemplating his situation at Santiago Bernabeu and would consider a move away from the club if Cristiano Ronaldo decides to stay put with the Madrid club.
The 24-year-old wants to play for a club where he can be the focal point of the team’s play. The newspaper also reports that Rodriguez’s agent Jorge Mendes also prefers a move for the player as he wants to spread his prized assets across all the major clubs in Europe.
