Thomas Muller to Old Trafford? United Offering a Long-term Contract Worth £300,000 per week

According to reports, Thomas Muller has rejected the chance of a move to Manchester United. It is believed that the move to Old Trafford would have ranked Muller as Manchester United’s joint-highest earner alongside Wayne Rooney.

According to the Daily star, United are willing to hand the Bayern Munich star a long-term contract worth £300,000 per week (the same pay packet enjoyed by Wayne Rooney, the club captain).

Nevertheless, the 26-year-old “has snubbed a summer move” to Manchester United per the report, and Bayern president Franz Beckenbauer has added fuel to the reports by saying: “Thomas has assured us he want to continue at Bayern.

The German recently (in December) signed a new contract to keep him at the Bundesliga club but this hasn’t put off the Manchester outfit planning to make another summer swoop.

The World Cup Winner took it to twitter and announced how he is pleased to be Bayern Munich, a move that indicated that he is still not keen to leave the Allianz Arena.

He wrote: “I’m proud and happy to tell you that I have extended my contract at @FCBayern until 30.02.2021.”

The German, who has already scored 25 goals for club and country in 30 appearances this season, has slightly flown under the radar this term due to the exploits of team-mate Robert Lewandowski.

The World Cup  winner is considered one of the finest players who can undoubtedly revamp United’s ailing forward line because of his work rate, finishing and unrivalled ability to find and exploit space, which also makes him one of the finest in world football today.

From the look of things, it is clear that Muller is fully dedicated to remaining at Bayern, where he has spent his entire career. Stories may well persist, but the 26-year-old personally and vocally declares he’s keen to move, it’s not likely to happen at all.
