Three Deals Chelsea Could Complete This Week
The Blues are intensifying their moves in the transfer window as they seek to beef up their team against next season, when they hope to retain the title they won last season. To this end, the manager and the management of the club have been working round the club to bring in some key signings to ensure they remain as competitive as ever next season. Here are three deals the club could complete before the end of the week.
Raheem Sterling
The former QPR man is one of the most wanted players this window, with Manchester City said to have had a bid rejected by the Reds earlier in the window. Chelsea, according to Sky Sports, are getting set to test Liverpool’s resolve to keep the player with a bid said to be in the region of £40 million.
Antoine Griezmann
Chelsea’s interest in the Atletico man was thought to be one of those stories cooked up by some journalist; but it had since gathered momentum as the player could move to the Stanford Bridge this week if negotiations go according to plan. Griezmann had a remarkable debut season with the former La Liga champions last season, and could be set to move to England this summer.
Mousa Dembele
The Spurs man, according to the Sun, is also a target man for the Blues this window, with Jose Mourinho reportedly interested in bringing him to Stanford Bridge this summer. This is one transfer rumour that is a bit difficult to believe, but you never say never with the transfer window.
