Three Transfers Chelsea Are Likely To Complete This Week

Chelsea are looking likely to be very active in the summer transfer market this week with imminent departures and arrivals.

Reports have confirmed Juventus as the most serious candidate to land misfit Juan Cuadrado who has failed to impress after joining the Blues in February. A fee of £24 million has also been quoted as what Chelsea have set aside as asking price for the Colombian winger.

Mohamed Salah is another player who will be leaving Stamford Bridge, no doubt. The Egyptian player played in the Serie A for Fiorentina on loan from Chelsea for the second part of the 2014-15. His starring role for the Viola has put the likes of Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid on alert.

Fiorentina also want the 23-year old winger back but the player’s wage demands of £2million annually was reportedly not met by the club.

The Telegraph had reported in June that Chelsea Egyptian winger, Mohamed Salah demanded an annual pay of £2 million from Fiorentina if they want him to stay. The Florence-based club have now paid £700,000 clause signed in the contract by the two clubs in order to let Salah rejoin them.

Salah, however, personally rejected the advance and this has infuriated the Italian club. Meanwhile, Chelsea are set to compensate Fiorentina by repaying the sum and sending another player out on loan to them, as per London Evening Standard.

Inter Milan are showing interest in the pacy wide man, either permanently or on loan,  and are reported to be ready to fork out £1.78 million in wages for him.

On the other hand, Cuadrado is close to sealing a move away from Chelsea, and this could happen before the week runs out. Also a subject of a bid from Juventus, the Italian champions want an attacking midfielder in their team and they see Cuadrado as an ideal fit, talkSPORT reveal. Despite the Colombian’s agent, Alessandro Lucci debunking the reports, the player is likely to still leave the Bridge this summer.

Axel Witsel is one of the midfielders who excite Blues boss Jose Mourinho, with reports claiming the club owner Roman Abrahamovich has travelled to Russia to in an attempt to entice the Belgian international to join the club.

Witsel, 26, would be an ideal replacement for Mikel and Ramires, should the two players leave this summer with clubs in Turkey and Italy eyeing their signatures.

Salah joined the Blues from Basel in 2014 made only 13 appearances and scored 2 goals, one of which was against Arsenal in the 6-0 annihilation by the Stamford Bridge club. For Cuadrado, his reported
£28 million switch to Chelsea has not yielded any fruits so far.

Meanwhile, Chelsea still retain interests in Antoine Griezmann and Pedro Rodriguez, with a £20million being submitted for the latter.
