Three Transfers Chelsea Can Complete This Week – John Stones & Others

Here we go, Chelsea fans. The Blues are working laboriously to bring in some more players and also get rid of those that are deemed surplus to requirements. One of those players who Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho thinks could not fit into his style at Stamford Bridge has just been announced as a Juventus player, albeit on a temporary basis. Juan Cuadrado joined Chelsea in February and failed to have any impact and now he has been sent back to a league where he had excelled before moving to England.

Nevertheless, there are few more ins and outs to be witnessed at Stamford Bridge before the close of the window in a week’s time. The Blues are relentlessly on the pursuit of Everton’s John Stones and Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba, while Victor Moses is set to leave Chelsea imminently for an initial loan move to West Ham United.

But first, here is an update on Stones and this is really, really welcoming! John Stones has handed in a formal transfer request at Everton in order to force a move to Chelsea. This is what Sky Sports is just reporting.

Stones has had enough. He wants a move to Chelsea this summer, and Everton’s Bill Kenwright [chairman] in conjunction with boss Roberto Martinez and more recently, director John Wood seem to be making life hard for the young player by blocking the move. Three bids of around £20m, £26m and £30m respectively has been rejected flatly by the Liverpool-based club, much to the frustration of Stones. With the transfer window set to close on September 1, the 21-year old has now move swiftly to submit a formal request for a move to Stamford Bridge. With this, Everton will likely accept a fourth offer from Chelsea to enable the England international complete his dream move this week. Good lad, Stones!

Now this one is big. It’s about the new Juventus number 10. Paul Pogba has also told the Serie A champions he wants a move to Chelsea. However this may sound appealing to the Blues’ ardent supporters, there appears to be some doubt about it. But that is not to say Jose Mourinho’s side will not sign Pogba. The Daily Star carried a report today that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has sanctioned a stunning record bid of £73m to lure Pogba to west London before the transfer window slams shut.

Meanwhile, Chelsea could still have a chance of landing Pogba with their huge bid, as one of the Blues’ unwanted players has been farmed out on loan to Juventus. Juan Cuadrado landed in Turin yesterday, passed a medical earlier today and has just been announced as the newest Juventus player. The Colombian has joined the Turin side on a season-long loan deal.

It had been claimed Chelsea may use Cuadrado, Ramires or Oscar as a make-weight to land Pogba, with Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri a huge admirer of the Selecao duo. Now that the 27-year old winger is now the one that has joined, Pogba transfer to Chelsea will happen in the coming days. Watch this space!

One of the Nigeria internationals in the Chelsea team is on the verge of completing an exit away from Stamford Bridge. It is not John Obi Mikel, but Victor Moses. Surprisingly, Jose Mourinho had revealed during pre-season that the 24-year old will stay at the club, and he was even included in the Blues’ Premier League list. However, it seems Pedro’s arrival suddenly changed Jose’s mind, and now Moses is set to follow Cuadrado out of Stamford Bridge. The Premier League champions are in advanced negotiations with West Ham United over the move, and it is understood it will be completed in days.

Manager of the Hammers Slaven Bilic is said to be looking to bolster his quad with the additions of a couple of players and the Chelsea winger has been earmarked.

Moses joined Chelsea from Wigan under Roberto Di Matteo’s reign and the winger has spent most of his time away from Stamford Bridge – on loan at Liverpool and Stoke City. Meanwhile, the loan move to Boleyn Ground will include an option for West Ham to make it permanent.
