This week will see a flurry of activities at the Stamford Bridge as they look to delve further into the transfer market. The club will be looking to add to the squad and of course there will be a few goodbyes. We will be looking at a possible trio of events that might take place.
Petr Cech: The veteran goalkeeper who has won it all with Chelsea was forced into the sidelines with the return of Thibaut Courtois from loan at Atletico Madrid. Since Courtois return, Cech has been on the periphery of the first team and as such has decided his future lies elsewhere than Chelsea. Arsenal and Chelsea announced the deal yesterday. I was hoping this deal would not happen but it happened. Sadly.
Antoine Griezmann: The French man was key for Atletico Madrid after he was bought from Real Sociedad for £24 million to replace Diego Costa. A return of 25 goals already justify the amount spent on him. Chelsea are rumoured interested in him, as they look for a partner for Diego Costa, and with his ability to play behind the forward as well as upfront, Chelsea have made hima priority buy.
Oscar: With Juventus already resigned to losing Paul Pogba this summer, they have identified the Chelsea man as a replacement for Pogba, and rumour has it that Chelsea who are interested in Pogba will be offering Oscar in a swap deal. So there you have it. We will know pretty soon if we are right in our assertion.
